Math was not one of my favorite subjects.
However, there are millions of people who do like math contests, and guess who has what is probably the most popular math contest website in the world. If you guessed one supplied by Georgia Tech or MIT, you’re wrong – at least as far as I know. It’s Columbus State University of Columbus Georgia.
That’s right; the CSU College of Education and Health Professions has a math contest website that has gotten over a million hits, people from all over the world are participating. CSU has this site because the College of Education and Health Professions’ Dean, Dr. David Rock, one of the founders of the Problem of the Week – Dr. Doug Brumbaugh was the other one – brought it with him when he came to CSU.
